HOUSTON, TX – Rig CallOut announced today they received over 25,000 signatures and filed an official petition with the office of the Global Timezone Committee, and worldclock.org to add a 13th hour to the standard world clock in order to allow more to get done in the oilfield.
“There are just not enough hours in the day to get everything done in the oilfield. At Rig CallOut we feel strongly that adding a 13th hour to the clock will help everyone get more done," began Ryan Hunt, Founder and CEO of Rig CallOut.
"The repercussions will be immeasurable for all aspects of business, reaching far beyond the oilfield,” said Rig CallOut Founder, Ryan Hunt. “As everyone knows, ‘minutes are millions’ in the oilfield, if we’re successfully able to add an additional hour to the clock, that will provide two extra hours per day; which will help increase production and profits. Additionally, this creates an opportunity to include two extra hours in day rates – as rigs charge per day/per foot to drill,” continued Hunt.
Many say this is not only infeasible and unlikely, but 100% impossible. Rig CallOut says nothing is impossible, and this is just one more way the company is planning to help the oilfield get more done.
“Whether or not our petition goes through, we’re working daily to improve profitability and timelines in the oilfield.
