MLK: A True Champion of Change

Martin Luther King, Jr. holds a place in history as one of the world’s most impelling leaders and a champion of change.  He was inspirational in life, and the words he left behind are still as poignant today as they ever were. Though he was specifically fighting for hope, kindness, and equality; he more simply was battling for CHANGE in the world.

Change on any scale is difficult - in society as a whole, in our personal life, and in our work life.

To honor Dr. King and his battle for change here are five of our favorite quotes from his speeches and writings – and a link to one of his most inspirational writings – "A Letter from a Birmingham Jail."

Here’s wishing you an effortless and limitless ability to face and embrace change when you need to!

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”

“If you can’t fly, run; if you can’t run, walk; if you can’t walk, crawl; but by all means keep moving.”

“People fail to get along because they fear each other; they fear each other because they don’t know each other; they don’t know each other because they have not communicated with each other.”

“Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.”

'Wait’ has almost always meant ‘never.’”

Don't forget to check out "A Letter from a Birmingham Jail." This link from Stanford has both a PDF of the letter and a recording so you can hear the inspirational words.

Thank you for the inspiration, the change you brought, and the change your legacy continues to bring, Dr. King.
